About Us — three people, no call centre
Bridging Finance Broker is Ashley, Sheila and Kelly, working from Farnborough since 2015. Small on purpose: you deal with the person whose name is on the door, every time.
Say hello
Ashley's intro, on video
Meet the team
Three people. That's the whole firm, and it's deliberate. Nobody hands your case to a processing team, because there's no processing team.
Ashley Morley, CeMAP
Director and Founder. Broking since October 2015. The voice on the phone, the name on the door, and the one who tells you when a deal won't fly. On weekends, the hiking mortgage broker.
Sheila, CeMAP
Senior Mortgage and Bridging Specialist. Twenty-five years a broker, and the person other brokers ring when a case has gone sideways.
Kelly
The engine room. Six years in property. Chases valuers, solicitors and lenders so you don't have to, and she is the person behind the WhatsApp button.
The numbers behind us
Being small changes what we can do rather than just how we sound. A case doesn't sit in a queue waiting for someone to pick it up, and the person who took your first call is the person who rings the lender.
"We stayed small on purpose. Every broker who scales past about three people starts sounding like a call centre, and a call centre can't do what we do."
Where you can hear us
If you want the measure of us before you ring, there's plenty to read and listen to. It's all Ashley, and it's all about real deals rather than theory.
- The Bridging Finance Broker Podcast — deals, deadlines and the things that kill them

- Case studies — completed deals, with the numbers and the timelines attached
How we are regulated
Worth stating plainly rather than burying in a footer, because it's the thing you should check about any broker before you tell them anything about your finances.
Not every bridging loan is regulated. Bridging secured on a home you live in or intend to live in is regulated and comes with the full set of consumer protections; bridging on an investment property usually isn't. We tell you which one yours is at the start, not at the end. More on regulated bridging.
Meet the Expert Team at Bridging Finance Broker
Are you FCA regulated?
Yes. Bridging Finance Broker is a trading style of Compare The Mortgage Limited, which is an Appointed Representative of Connect IFA Limited 441505, which is Authorised and Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and is entered on the Financial Services Register under reference 966902. The principal is Ashley Morley. You can look the entry up yourself on the Financial Services Register, and you should, for us and for anyone else you're thinking of using.
Do you cover the whole UK?
We're based in Farnborough and work with clients across the country. Where the property sits does change things: Scotland and Northern Ireland run on different legal systems and fewer bridging lenders operate in them, so tell us the location early and we'll tell you straight away whether it's placeable and roughly what it will cost.
Who will I actually deal with?
Ashley for the advice, Kelly for progress and chasing, Sheila for the ones that have gone sideways. That's the whole organisation chart. You'll not be passed to a team you've never spoken to.
What sort of deals do you place?
Bridging in almost all its forms, plus development finance and self build. Auction purchases, chain breaks, refurbishment and heavy refurb, land, commercial, second charges, unmortgageable property, portfolios and cases with adverse credit. The full list, with a page on each, is on our services.
Where are you based?
Ferneberga House, Alexandra Road, Farnborough GU14 6DQ. You're welcome to come in, though most of our clients never need to, and most deals are done on the phone and by email. All the ways to reach us are on the contact page.
Deal with people, not processes.
One call and you'll know if we're your kind of broker.
